Freedom Through Movement is your time to begin discovering all of this and more. It’s your time to focus on yourself and the ways in which you can discover exactly what your version of creativity looks like so it can begin to pour out of you.
During this full-day workshop, I will take you through simple yet powerful immersive practices that will guide you on a journey of discovering your unique creativity.
It will be your time to focus on your body, each and every part of it, learning what story you have to tell and how you want to tell it.

Freedom Through Movement is about creating freedom through expression. If that’s the freedom to say something you’ve never shared before, allow yourself to move in a way you never have before, then now is your chance.
This workshop is about collaboration, with yourself and with your fellow participants.
It is about discovering your tools and structures to lead you to even more creativity and expression than you thought possible.
Whether you’re a dancer, and I believe we all are we just move in very different ways, or you’ve never stepped foot on to a dance floor/studio before or you’re an artist in some other form: a writer, photographer, artist, or you don’t think of yourself as creative at all, then Freedom Through Movement is for you.
The workshops are a wonderfully intimate, nurturing and transformative environment with like-minded souls all connecting on this journey together. This workshop is open to all over 18 years of age.
The workshop will take place on Saturday 22nd June at The Academy Mews Studios (accessible by wheelchair). Check-in is from 10:00 am to allow for a prompt start. Register your spot to avoid disappointment.
Freedom Through Movement is your blank canvas. What will you choose to create?
Workshops are hosted in a private dance studio and limited to just 12 participants to allow for an intimate environment to be created with a lot of focused attention on each participant.
The workshop will allow for plenty of interaction, questions, individual and group exercises as well as time for reflection and of course dancing!
What To Bring
You will be encouraged to disconnect from all digital devices to allow you and your fellow workshop attendees to fully immerse in the activities. Please do bring a journal you love to write in and pens. If you have a sleep/aeroplane eye mask then please bring one along as I have a limited supply and it will be required for some of the exercises. If you have trouble sitting on the floor then please bring along a yoga mat, cushion, yoga block, etc.
What To Wear
Please wear clothing that you feel comfortable enough to move around and dance in (leggings, tracksuit and jogging bottoms, harem pants, t-shirts, vests, etc). Please bring an extra layer as you may need this for when you aren’t dancing to prevent your body from cooling down.
Timings & Refreshments
Water will be available on site, please bring a large bottle with you. No hot drinks or food are allowed in the studio. There will be a 45-minute lunch break (no lunch supplied). There are numerous restaurants, cafes and shops in the area. Please ensure you have a light lunch to enjoy and ensure you can carry on moving and dancing afterwards. The event will end at 7:00 pm.
Filming & Photography
Parts of the workshop will be filmed and/or photographed to provide additional feedback and may be made available to participants after the workshop to help you continue your development. This footage may also be used for future promotional material. If you would not like to be filmed or photographed, please ensure you let me know at the beginning of the workshop.
Up to a maximum of four tickets may be purchased per transaction via Eventbrite.
At each event I offer a limited number of discounts for early registrations, Eventbrite will indicate exactly how many are available. Please book early to avoid missing out.
Refunds & Transfers
If you need to cancel your place I can offer a 100% refund up to 30 days before the event start date. You can log into Eventbrite and claim your refund. Please allow up to 7 days for a refund to reach your account (usually sooner). Cancellation 30 or fewer days before the workshop results in 0% refund. If you wish to transfer your place to another name please contact me up to 24 hours before the event start date. Less than 24 hours before the event I cannot transfer your place.
In the event that I have to cancel the event, I will give you as much notice as possible and offer you the choice of either a full refund or an alternative event date if one has been scheduled. My liability is limited to the participant registration fee; I cannot reimburse you for any expenses incurred such as travel or accommodation.
